Carbon offsetting works by buying carbon credits from projects that cut or remove emissions. At Dots.eco, one credit equals 10KG of CO2e reduced.
Carbon credits are generated when a project reduces or removes emissions that would otherwise enter the atmosphere. One credit = 1 tonne of CO₂e reduced.
Through Carbon Trade Exchange, verified credits are listed, purchased in real time, and retired immediately, ensuring they can’t be reused. Retiring a carbon credit means it represents a permanent reduction in emissions.
