World Day for Farmed Animals

Created in memory of Ghandi, who believed in treating all living beings with respect, World Farm Animals Day was founded to highlight the poor conditions suffered by some farm animals, and promote awareness in the hope something may be done to improve their lives.

World Animal Day

On this date, animal life is celebrated in any of its forms, and special events are planned around the world, many relating to environmental protection. Animal blessings are performed at churches, synagogues, and by independent animal chaplains in parks and fields.
