We supported efforts to plant 100,000 trees in Idaho’s Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest to enhance forest health, mitigate fire risks, and diversify habitats.
Mozambique
We’ve supported efforts to plant 82,990 trees across Maputo Bay to restore vital mangrove ecosystems while helping local communities develop green economies.

Why is planting trees important?
Forests cover around 31% of the world’s land area, but deforestation rates have been increasing at an alarming rate in the past 40 years. Trees fulfill key roles in the preservation of life, including cleaning the air, filtering the water we drink daily, and providing a home to a multitude of species worldwide. For example, 80% of amphibians, 75% of birds, and 68% of mammals. On top of all this magic, trees absorb CO2 emissions and help regulate the world’s temperature.
How do we plant trees?
Our partner organizations connect with local communities and build relationships with local leaders. Funds are then distributed, seedlings are grown, the land is prepared, and the trees are planted. The plantings are then monitored, and the results reported. Tree planting usually happens during the rainy season, when the soil provides optimum conditions for the survival and flourishing of the trees.
Our partner tree-planting organizations aim to provide jobs to minimize poverty and improve food security. This is the standard approach, but each of our partners has its own unique magical touch and goes above and beyond. Rest assured, all the organizations we work with are vetted and certified by trusted third parties to ensure they are the best of the best in reforestation work. They are all riding the wave with us toward building a lasting and sustainable Earth-healing economy.
Where is tree planting done?
Tree planting is done in countries all over the world, including Brazil, the US, Madagascar, Honduras and Kenya. If you scroll up, you can find our interactive map displaying all our planting locations.
How do you ensure the trees' survival?
Our partner organizations have a proven track record of success in tree planting and have implemented strict monitoring and reporting procedures to ensure the survival and positive impact of the trees planted. Additionally, all of our partners plant native tree species that match the ecosystem. These trees are then monitored until maturity by local volunteers or employees taking part in the project. Due to the care given to the planting methods of our partners, tree survival rates on our projects are currently higher than 70%.
